ABOUT TRUE GRIT LIFESTYLE

My name is Ryan Poynter. I’m a husband, father of three boys, and an executive in the logistics industry living in South Carolina.

For much of my life, I felt like I was capable of more. On the surface, I hadachieved success—at work, with family, and in the eyes of my friends. But deep down, I knew I was slipping. I had lost my identity, fallen into a rut of excuses, and let my health, mindset, and energy decline.

In December 2024, I made a decision that changed everything: I committed to chasing my fullest potential. My goals were clear—get into the best shape of my life, dedicate myself to daily workouts, read more books, be a more present father, and sharpen my mental clarity so I could show up as a better husband, friend, and leader.

I started by tracking my nutrition, setting a goal to drop from 270 lbs to 225 lbs. The timeline was daunting—seven months of consistent discipline. Progress came slowly, and for months no one even noticed. But I stayed the course. On July 4th, I hit my goal weight of 225 lbs. I felt stronger, healthier, and more confident—but I knew I still had more to prove to myself.

Two days later, I committed to 75 Hard—a 75-day mental toughness program requiring two workouts per day, a gallon of water daily, 10 pages of non-fiction reading, no alcohol, and strict adherence to a diet. It pushed me harder than I thought possible. I faced sickness, storms, vacations, low motivation, and countless excuses to quit—but I never did. On the other side, I wasn’t just physically transformed at 204 lbs—I had built mental resilience and discipline I never thought I was capable of.

Now, my mission is to help others unlock that same transformation. I know what it feels like to be stuck, to make excuses, and to doubt whether change is possible. And I know the freedom and power that comes from taking control of your health, mindset, and life.

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Nutritionist Certification from ISSA, and my own journey from low motivation to mental sharpness and physical strength, I’m here to help others break through their limits and create lasting change.
